How This Turmeric Tea Help With Sore Throat

Turmeric – contains an active compound called curcumin which provides anti-inflammatory and anti-microbial effects. Dinking turmeric tea will help reduce swelling and pain in the throat and help reduce the growth of bacteria in the throat lining.

Another amazing benefit of turmeric is that it contains antioxidants that strengthen the immune system, which will help your body fight infections faster.

Ginger – contains a compound known as gingerol which helps heal the body, aid in immunity, and soothe inflammation in the chest, throat, and nose. Ginger also has antimicrobial properties which help fight bacterial or viral infections that cause sore throat.

Honey – has natural anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties similar to turmeric but it comes with extra soothing qualities.

Black Pepper – is added to this recipe because it helps your body absorb curcumin in turmeric by over 2000%

Milk – is totally optional in this recipe but I love the taste of almond milk in my turmeric tea, the flavor is amazing!
