How Does Cinnamon Tea Help With Sore Throat

Cinnamon – helps open out the airways by thinning out mucus, it also has anti-bacterial and anti-inflammatory properties. However, mixing it with honey and hot liquid is what makes it more effective in soothing a sore throat.

Warm Milk – mostly adds flavor and base to this recipe but also helps soothe sore throat. I use almond milk because it’s plant-based and taste amazing but you can use any milk you choose.

Honey – is very similar to cinnamon when it comes to it’s anti-bacterial and anti-inflammatory profile so it helps clear out bacteria and inflammation in the throat lining while also soothing your throat.

Ginger – contains a compound known as gingerol which helps heal the body, aid in immunity, and soothe inflammation in the chest, throat, and nose. Ginger also has antimicrobial properties which help fight bacterial or viral infections that cause sore throat.
